During the Maga parade in DC, 33 people were arrested and 4 were stabbed: police

More than 30 people were arrested during protests over the weekend in Washington, D.C.

Authorities said the arrests were the result of clashes with police and incidents between supporters of President Trump and protesters in the country’s capital.

The Metropolitan Police said 33 people have been arrested on charges such as public assault, illegal possession of firearms and resisting arrest since assaulting a police officer.

WTTG-TV reports that eight police officers were injured while trying to quell the unrest.

Police said four people sustained life-threatening stab wounds in a clash.

Philip Johnson, 29, of Northwest D.C., was arrested in the incident and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

The captured video shows a black man surrounded by a crowd of Pride Boys, a pro-Trump right-wing group fighting.

The group chases the person – said Johnson – who pulls out a plate to stop the crowd. A separate video shows a man stabbed in the stomach.

The WTDG says there have been 33 more arrests in DC since 21 people were arrested at a maga rally last month.

A rally on Saturday brought thousands of Trump supporters to DC to support former president Joe Biden’s claim that there was widespread fraud at the expense of his election day.
