Dwight Howard reacts to Sixers replacing Tony Bradley for George Hill

The Philadelphia 76ers are aspiring to the title in the Eastern Conference and reached an agreement Thursday in an effort to position themselves better to get the title they believe they can get.

They acquired George Hill of the Oklahoma City Thunder in a three-team deal. They sent Tony Thunder and two second-round picks to the Thunder and sent Vincent Poirier, Terrance Ferguson and a second-round pick to the New York Knicks.

Bradley started in the center of the Sixers in the absence of Joel Embiid, who is away from home with a bone blow, and played well. Bradley was an underrated part of the team with a 5-1 since the big guy fell and veteran Dwight Howard was sad to see Bradley leave.

“It’s very sad to know that he left our team,” Howard said. “I’ve seen him since the start of the season so far, his energy and his effort have changed, and he’s been playing out of his mind the last two games and I’m very proud of him. He has a chance to go. in Oklahoma City and play great minutes, and I think it will be a blessing in disguise for him.I’m sad to leave our team, but I’m happy for him as a player because he has the opportunity he needs and I hope he continues to work hard and not forget where you come from in the great job. “

The Thunder are one of the youngest teams in the league, but they play a lot and will offer Bradley a chance to make an impact. Once Embiid returned, he would once again be the center of third string behind Howard and Embiid, so there were limited opportunities for him.

As for Hill, the veteran has been successful in this league, but has not reached the top. He has been to the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals, but has not won the title. This is a new opportunity for him.

“I think it will provide a lot of defensive pressure in the guard position,” Howard said. “In addition, another experienced veteran who has played for a while and who understands the game and plays for a reason that is to win a championship. I’m looking forward to having him on our team. We look forward to it making a big impact here in Philadelphia. I can not wait “.

The Sixers will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday to continue their road trip and will have to decide who starts now in the center position. Normally, it would be Bradley because Coach Doc Rivers likes to keep Howard with the second unit. Now it will have to be decided by Howard or perhaps by rookie Paul Reed.
