Edge believes Roman Reigns should have broken The Undertaker’s streak

The WWE Edge Hall of Fame recently stated that Brock Lesnar shouldn’t have been the one who broke The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated WrestleMania streak.

Edge held a recent talk with Sports Nation and opened up about Brock Lesnar breaking The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak in 2014. He recalled how he refused to finish the streak at WrestleMania 24 in 2008 and made it clear that Roman Reigns should ‘to have been the chosen one.

“I think it should have been saved for someone you want to tie the rocket to. And you know, trust me and I’ll like it … to me, Roman Reigns was the man who did it. And that’s where I should do it.I already did.I know I understand he is a credible character to do it but well, fantastic, this is professional wrestling. He is not MMA.So for me you do it with the character that you think will pull you off the cart for the next 10-15 years. “

Edge titled WrestleMania 24 with The Undertaker

Edge established himself as a megestrella on WWE TV when he arrived in 2008. He was the most important heel of WWE SmackDown at the time and started a heated showdown with The Undertaker for the World Cup.

The duo fought in the show’s main event and there were moments in the match when WWE made fans believe the streak would end that night. Eventually, the Undertaker defeated Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Undertaker’s streak was finally broken at WrestleMania 30 by rival Brock Lesnar. The big win made Lesnar possibly the most dangerous entity in WWE history.

He continued to crush WWE legend John Cena at SummerSlam 2014 to win the WWE Championship. Lesnar was used regularly on the WWE major events scene for years after winning The Undertaker.

Do you agree with Edge’s view on Brock Lesnar breaking The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak? What would have been your reaction if Roman Reigns had broken it?
