At 5:15 p.m. today, at the Brownsville-Matamoros International Bridge, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the Army received the doctor, And filled out the arrest warrant for their probable responsibility in the crimes of organized crime, against health and criminal association.

Eduardo Arellano was arrested in 2008 in Tijuana, Baja California, to be subsequently extradited to the United States in 2012, on numerous charges of various crimes, in respect of which the authorities of that country offered a reward of five million dollars.

In the United States he was sentenced to 15 years in prison and, for his cooperation with the authorities of that country, he was sentenced to only two of the seven charges for which he was charged in his extradition.

After serving that part of his sentence in a low-security federal prison in Allentown, Pennsylvania, U.S. immigration authorities (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), they made it available to the Mexican authorities.

The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO), which managed and obtained the corresponding arrest warrant, completed it and will proceed to make it available to the control judge at the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation Number 1 “The Plateau”.
