Eduardo Moreno Laparede, nephew of Mario Moreno Cantinflas and president of the Mario Moreno Foundation, died of complications from covid, As reported by comedian Jorge Ortiz de Pinero on social media.

Mario Moreno’s nephew Cantinflas he was admitted to a hospital on January 9 for complications related to covid-19, later he had to undergo a tracheotomy because his lungs began to hurt.

“I am deeply saddened to receive the news of the death of Don Eduardo Moreno Laparade, a supportive, kind, affectionate and irreplaceable friend. There are no words to describe the immense void left by his departure,” wrote the first actor, Ortiz. of Pinedo.

Who was Eduardo Moreno Laparade?

Eduardo Moreno was a nephew of Cantinflas and he studied to be a journalist; however, in recent days he has been in charge of chairing the Mario E. Moreno Foundation, which preserves the work of the iconic Mexican actor, Cantinflas, so he also promoted the publishing of books with which he sought to honor the legacy of Eduardo Moreno.
