The following may contain spoilers for Disney + WandaVision. We don’t know yet.
The first link to Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision, has quickly gone from a strange sitcom parody to a proper superhero story, and star Elizabeth Olsen — Wanda’s half of this strange title — causes some exciting things yet to come. TVLine, inspired by Digitally aged look by Mark Hamill at the end of the season The Mandalorian, recently spoke with Olsen and decided to get on well with the chase and ask him if there was anything in the couple (specifically “a casting he can’t believe hasn’t been leaked yet”) that would appear on his show. Olsen, who is very confident or doesn’t care about managing expectations, answered with a simple “yes”. TVLine she says she then laughed and added, “I’m very excited.”
That’s all we have to get out of it, but it certainly seems intriguing. Needless to say, it doesn’t sound like Olsen specifically said that an exciting surprise character appears, so it’s not necessarily exactly like Luke Skywalker The Mandalorian, but this is the kind of thing where the MCU is already very good. If we trust that he is talking about an unexpected character going through a visit, who will he be? Doctor Strange would be an easy choice, as Wanda will be in her next film, but it wouldn’t be as exciting as the appearance of Luke Skywalker. Aaron Taylor-Johnson who appears as Wanda’s dead brother, Pietro / Quicksilver, would be wild, but the Internet seems pretty sure it will really be Fox Evan Peters’ version of Quicksilver X Men movies that will appear, establishing some sort of connection to this series and the MCU now that they are all under the roof of Disney.
Again, if people expect Evan Peters ’Quicksilver to be activated WandaVision, would it really be an exciting revelation to Luke Skywalker’s partner? The Mandalorian? There is something that I could, now that we know how to expect something? Wanda is (sometimes) Magneto’s daughter in comics, so maybe Michael Fassbender could pass? We don’t know, but just thinking about it and throwing out ideas like this runs the risk of damaging them or setting unfairly high expectations, so it really was a good measure for Olsen to raise it in the first place.
