The two richest men in the world will not stop fighting for space.
Elon Musk mocked Jeff Bezos on Twitter on Friday, accusing him of leaving the post of CEO of Amazon to devote his time to filing lawsuits against Musk’s SpaceX company.
The coup comes after Bezos’ Blue Origin space firm sued NASA earlier this month over the agency’s decision to give $ 2.9 billion to SpaceX.
Amazon also filed a lawsuit against SpaceX before the Federal Communications Commission, which urged the regulator to reject the company’s plan to launch more satellites as part of its satellite Internet business.
Musk, who is the second richest man in the world after Bezos, is fed up with the legal moves of the rival rocket.
“It turns out that Besos retired to continue working full time and to file lawsuits against SpaceX …” Musk he wrote on Twitter Friday: Bezos’ name is misspelled, instead of the Spanish word for “kisses.”
Musk, 50, made the comments in a response to a tweet from a journalist working at the Washington Post, owned by Bezos.
Bezos left the post of CEO of Amazon in July, handing over the reins to trusted lieutenant Andy Jassy and launching himself into space with a Blue Origin rocket.
SpaceX and Blue Origin did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
Musk and Bezos, which Forbes estimates are worth $ 193 and $ 186 million, respectively, have a long history of fights over their galactic ambitions.
The duo met once during dinner in 2004 to talk about space travel, journalist Christian Davenport wrote in a book about the duo.

“We talked about rocket architectures,” Musk said of the dinner. “In fact, I did my best to give good advice, which he largely ignored.”
In 2013, competition between the two billionaires spread to public view when they fought to gain access to a NASA launch pad and soon after fought for rocket landing patents.
In 2015, Musk dissed Bezos on Twitter about other rocket landing technologies, accusing Blue Origin of having years behind SpaceX.

Earlier this year, Musk mocked a Washington Post reporter who wrote a story about him, in response to a request for comment on a story with “Give my respects to your puppet master.”
Bezos has scoffed at plans to colonize Mars, a key ambition of SpaceX.
“I say, my friends who want to move to Mars, do me a favor and come live at the top of Everest for a year first, let’s see if you like it, because it’s a paradise garden compared to Mars, ”Bezos said. SpaceNews in 2019.
