GREEN BAY (NBC 26): Titletown prepares special activities for all ages and extends its New Year’s Eve schedule. Along with the activities there will be a midnight countdown and fireworks to bring the new year.
Organizers say there will be a variety of winter activities for the participation of people of all ages. From ice carving demonstrations, live music and entertainment, to interactive games. Throughout the park there will be fires and warm-up lights to keep you toasted between activities.
An air-conditioned tent will cover the plaza where live music will be presented by Jayson Slade of WIXX. According to Titletown, the store will also feature virtual reality glasses sets, a giant Lite Brite and a glow bar offering drinks to buy.
Titletown Piping Hours will be New Year’s Eve from 1pm to 11pm. More information on pipe prices and exemptions can be found. HERE.
In addition, they have extended their ice skating hours from 1pm on New Year’s Eve until 12:30 pm on New Year’s Day. They say the skating will feature a “silent nightclub” where DJs will play music that only those who skate with special headphones provided by Titletown can hear. The silent nightclub will operate from 6pm to 11pm. More information on skating prices and exemptions can be found HERE.
Other activities and entertainment will include fire shows and LED juggling, giant giants, photo booths and snow art so people can draw their own artwork. They are all free to participate.
Titletown says they will offer a free champagne toast until stocks last at 11:45 p.m.
The countdown will begin at 11:59 p.m. Then there will be a fireworks show to celebrate the new year.
