The company announced Sunday that it has reached an agreement with Turnbridge Equities and Denali Properties to acquire the 980,000-square-foot, 87-acre Cary Towne Center. The ultimate goal is to transform the mall into the new Epic Games campus in 2024.
“The facilities will include both office buildings and recreational spaces, which will allow Epic the flexibility to create a customized campus from scratch to accommodate its long-term growth,” a company spokesman wrote.
Epic Games has been established in Cary for over 20 years and is currently located off Crossroads Boulevard, next to Dillard Drive. The company plans to operate out of this location until the transition is complete.
Turnbridge and Denali acquired the Cary Towne Center in January 2019, according to an Epic Games spokesman.

Epic plans to continue working with the city of Cary, Turnbridge and Denali on the development.
