The Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba, SA (ETECSA) announced the new rates that fixed telephony will have on the island after the start of the so-called Tasca Ordenamiento, so that the monthly residential fee will increase by 6.25 Cuban pesos (CUP) to 20.00 CUP.
But this fee will only cover the first 300 minutes of local calls, after which the new rate of 0.09 CUP per minute will apply in the case of local calls between 6:00 AM and 5:59 PM and 0, 06 CUP per minute when the service is used between 6:00 PM and 5:59.
In the case of regional calls, the cost amounts to 0.75 Cup per minute between 6:00 AM and 5:59 PM and 0.39 CUP per minute in the period between 6:00 PM and 5 : 59 PM.
For interregional calls, as ETECSA divides the island into the western, central and eastern areas, a price of 1.95CUP per minute was set in the daytime slot and 0.99 Cup per minute in the strip nocturne.
Local calls via public telephone and mobile networks will cost 0.10 Cup every three minutes. In the event that they are long distance, their price will increase to 0.40CUP per minute during the day and 0.20CUP per minute at night.
The cost of interregional calls over public telephony was set at 1.00 Cup per minute in the daytime slot and at 0.50 Cup per minute at night.
ETECSA also reported that the extensions will be priced at 8.00 CUP per month and the identifier 15.00 CUP. Transfer services and electronic padlock will be priced at CUP 3.00 and the value of tripartite calls and hotlines will be CUP 4.50.
The Cuban communications monopoly recalled that these tariffs will begin to apply in January, but will not be charged until February, as in the current month the December bill will be charged with the old prices.
