The fight was first reported by Sports Illustrated.
The fight between Holyfield and McBride would be part of the role starring Teófimo López, who will defend his Lightweight title against George Kambosos.
In recent days, Holyfield and Tyson negotiated the possibility of a third fight, after the two that starred in the 90s, the last a boxing classic for the controversial finale in which Tyson bit and ripped a part of Holyfield’s ear.
The third fight did not materialize, after Tyson turned down a $ 25 million offer to get into the ring with Holyfield.
Last November, Tyson, a former Heavyweight Champion, won an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr.
For his part, McBride (35-10-1), 47, is known for sending Tyson into retirement after beating him by knockout in 2005. He also retired from boxing in 2011.
