The last center in the region to offer monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID-19 arrives in Clairemont and will also offer virus testing at the same site.

County and city officials met Monday to announce a partnership with the State Emergency Medical Services Authority for the opening of the Regional Center for Monoclonal Antibodies at 4425 Bannock Avenue. ‘has been shown to be effective in reducing the symptoms and duration of COVID-19.

Located in the city’s Cathy Hopper Clairemont Friendship Center, the appointment-only center will also offer treatment for people who may have been exposed to COVID-19 and are at high risk for severe symptoms.
