Last November, Nintendo F-Zero the series turned 30 years old. While there are no indications that he will return soon, if so, one guy who would be happy to help him is Toshihiro Nagoshi of Sega.

Nagoshi is known to produce the Yakuza series currently, but in 2003 he certainly worked on the better entry to the F-Zero series – F-Zero GX for Sega’s Amusement Vision Nintendo GameCube.

Speaking to Red Bull France late last year, Nagoshi said he would be open to working on the series again if given the chance. As unlikely as it is, if it happened, it would have to be a “challenging” game, like Mario Kart it’s already the “fun and accessible” corridor of the Nintendo library.

“Mmm … Leaving aside the odds of it happening, I have to admit that I have a lot of affection for F-Zero GX. If the opportunity presented itself, I wouldn’t mind. And in that case, I’d like to convert- “I think if Nintendo just wants a” fun and accessible “racing game, they already have Mario Kart for that purpose.”

The last F-Zero game released was the Game Boy Advance title, only in Japan in 2004, F-Zero Climax. Since then, the series has resurfaced in games such as Nintendo Land i Mario Kart 8 as DLC. Captain Falcon remains one of the main fighters of the Super Smash Bros. list too.
