Good cleaning
Special Agent Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) now missing i NCIS the fans get nervous.
As viewers saw in the most recent episode of season 18, Tobias picks up a job at a fast food restaurant to disguise his identity in an attempt to track down the head of an ongoing opioid trade. At the end of the episode, however, when Gibbs (Mark Harmon) goes to check on Tobias, finds out that Tobias has not appeared at work in two days.
Of course, the mysterious disappearance of Tobias is posing NCIS fans on the edge. But what really makes them freak out is knowing it there will be no new episodes of NCIS which will be broadcast tonight or for the rest of 2020.
When he will NCIS back to CBS the rest of season 18?
According to Newsweek, the fourth episode of NCIS season 18 will air on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. In other words, fans will have to wait patiently until the end of the holiday season to find out what happens to Tobias.
Naturally, fans are not happy with this news, especially since the show had just returned on November 17 after the coronavirus pandemic forced the network to roll back the season 18 release date.
“I can’t believe the show won’t be back until January 5, 2021. What madness is it that you didn’t wait until January? [sic.] winter holidays are a joke, ”one fan said he tweeted. Another he commented“Something has happened to Fornell and now we have to wait until next year to find out what ?! I can’t wait that long!” “So you’ll just leave us with this cliffhanger eh,” another he remarked.
Of course, this is not uncommon NCIS and other major network programs that stop at this time of year. The big difference, though, is that due to filming delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, CBS only aired three episodes before the end of the fall. In recent years, the network has aired about nine or ten episodes.
So what does this mean for the rest of NCIS season 18? Unfortunately, fans will have to accept a shorter season all together. In late October, Deadline reported that CBS had cut its order of episodes for the fall 2020-2021 schedule from 22 to 16 NCIS. Other CBS programs such as Blue Bloods, Toro, The neighbourhood, SEAL team, i Magnum PI they have also reduced episode orders, ranging from 16 to 18 episodes per season.
At this point, all we can expect is for Tobias to be found as soon as possible NCIS back in January and that the show’s screenwriters don’t introduce another painful cliffhanger at the end of the season. But again … it is NCIS.
