Fans should forget about Bayonetta 3 for now, says Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya

Bayonet 3

It has now been just over three years since it was first confirmed that Bayonetta 3 was in development for Nintendo Switch, but since then we have had little to follow apart from the small warranties that tell us that things are going “very well”, “very smoothly,” “well” and “very well” again. Blimey.

However, it seems that we can still be a long way from learning more; PlatinumGames co-founder Hideki Kamiya has already told fans that he expects to share more about the title in 2021, but thanks to a new interview with VGC, it looks like nothing is in stone yet. Here’s what Kamiya had to say when asked about this possible 2021 update:

“It’s not really our position to say that, but … it’s January. We have to get something out, right? I guess it’s safe to wait for something to come out. There’s still a lot of the year left that’s who I am.” . I’m saying “.

When asked for more clarification on what to expect in this eventual update, Kamiya jokes that fans should “reset and forget” the game, so any new announcement will be a welcome surprise:

“I understand fans are going crazy! In light of that, my suggestion would be that maybe we should all reset and forget about Bayonetta 3. So when something finally happens, it will be a good surprise, right?”

In the same interview, PlatinumGames also confirmed that Astral Chain IP is now wholly owned by Nintendo after originally being a co-owned franchise.
