Jesse Nelson announced on Monday (Dec. 14) that he was leaving Little Mix to focus on his mental health.
“The fact that I have been in a band recently has really affected my mental health. I continue to put pressure on a woman to be in a band and live up to expectations,” she shared in a statement. “Once in a lifetime we need to reinvest in caring for ourselves rather than focusing on ourselves [sic] In pleasing others, I think now is the time to start that process. “
“I want to spend some time with the people I love and do things that make me happy,” he continued. “I’m ready to start a new chapter in my life – I don’t know what it will be like now, but I hope you will still be there to support me.”
