Dr. Anthony Fauci finally appeared on “The Late Show” on Friday for his first interview with Stephen Colbert about a coronavirus pandemic.
And the nation’s top infectious disease expert, who is President Joe Biden’s top medical adviser, wasted no time in appearing to overshadow former President Donald Trump, the politicization of the Fauci pandemic has criticized her for seriously.
“I wanted to have you on top for a year. We’ve tried to make you enjoy a year almost every week. We could never get you, ”Colbert told Fauci.
“By Jan. 20, your schedule really opened,” the host continued late into the night, referring to Biden’s inauguration and Trump’s departure from the White House.
“What changed?” Colbert asked.
“Everything,” Fauci laughed, leaving Colbert out.
“Well, I hope it keeps changing,” Colbert replied.
Elsewhere in the interview, Fauci said the pandemic would end “absolutely”: it was only a matter of when, depending on vaccination programs and people who continued to wear masks and social distance.
