FBI agent involved in filming on the Maryland subway train – NBC4 Washington

An FBI agent was involved in a shooting aboard a subway train in the early hours of Tuesday and the investigation is underway, Metro and FBI officials say.

A man was shot several times and taken to a hospital. Information about his identity and condition was not immediately disclosed.

The Metro Traffic Police received a report just before 7 a.m. of a “shooting involving an FBI agent” aboard a Red Line train near the Medical Center station in Montgomery County.

“On the train, sir. I injured a boy here, who shot me,” a subway station director said in a recording of the emergency call to authorities.

The man was taken from the subway station to a hospital, subway officials said.

Metro Transit police are investigating the facts that led to the shooting and the FBI is investigating his agent and the shooting itself, Metro said.

The FBI confirmed that the shooting occurred, but did not provide details about who drove him or who fired the shots.

In a statement, they said their inspection division is investigating the shooting. “The review process is thorough and objective and is carried out as quickly as possible in the circumstances,” the statement said.

Red Line trains overlooked the Medical Center station, which is close to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health. Riders were told to wait for delays.
