The head of the federal prosecutor’s office in Puerto Rico, Stephen Muldrow, called on anyone who has committed fraud in the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program (PUA) to contact federal authorities and avoid major consequences.
During a press conference aimed at offering details about a series of arrests of people for committing fraud on this government program, Muldrow also invited anyone he knew of a similar scheme to do the same.

“I want to send a message to people who know of others who have committed such schemes and we have not yet accused them: call the authorities and make the complaint,” Muldrow said from the prosecutor’s office in Hato King.
“To people who have incurred such schemes and we have not yet charged them, as I have recommended on previous occasions, contact the law enforcement agencies and provide their information. As soon as they speak, minors it will be the consequences that you and your family can suffer, “he added.
The expressions emerged during a press conference to offer details about the arrest of nine people for committing fraud at the PUA, who were part of a scheme that includes about 12 people in total.
