Washington-based commissioner Jenniffer Gonzalez said the federal House could include in today’s meeting negotiations to seek to give way to an additional $ 1,400 check for economic stimulus to the public.
In expressions made in an interview with NotiUno, González referred to the pressure that President Donald Trump had exerted for the current aid package, which includes a $ 600 check, to be increased to $ 2,000.
“Today the Federal House of Representatives is meeting to go over the veto on the Defense bill,” the commissioner said in reference to the bill that was vetoed by Trump last week.
“And it is estimated that negotiations can begin to seek an additional $ 1,400 check,” he continued.
The commissioner assured that there is no final agreement but Congress could go in that direction today.
“It is not ruled out that there could be approval of an additional $ 1,400 check,” he said.
