Filtered images showing Pro and iPad Mini with spectacular detail

The upcoming iPad Pro seems to be the biggest update in history, though despite all the rumors, a key question is still pending. It looks like it’s almost with us, and now a new leak contains photos to show how it will be. Equally curious, the iPad mini also appears in the images.

The images, which come Sonny Dickson, give us some important clues and confirmations. The images are of fictitious units, so there is no screen to see here. The images show what is said to be the iPad Pro in two sizes, presumably the 11- and 12.9-inch models we expect and the iPad mini, which is where things get interesting.

Look, there have been a lot of seductive rumors in recent months that the iPad mini was about to get a bigger screen, which would go from 7.9 inches to 8.4 inches while maintaining a similar shape and size to the current ones, thanks to the thinner bevels. In other words, the cool, flat-cut design of the iPad Pro and the new iPad Air would not be reproduced in the new mini, which instead would have a really still cool curved back that is in the mini now and the normal iPad. .

It was even said that the next iPad mini would still have the Touch ID home button on the bottom edge.

Well, you may not miss it all. While the leaked images show an iPad mini that is drastically similar to the current model, remember that these are just chassis mannequins, not the final things.

And I just compared the mini of the image with mine and I would say that the Touch ID button of the supposed model is much lower on the front than on my tablet. So maybe there will be a bigger screen. The camera at the top doesn’t look very different to me.

Well, we’ll have to wait and see, but the fact that these alleged tablets are together at least seems to confirm that Apple is about to launch three new iPads in the near future.

Switch to iPad Pro models. We think we know that a new display technology, miniLED, will hit the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but that the 11-inch will stick with LCD screen.

Recent rumors have also hinted that the overall design will be almost identical to current models and this is demonstrated here, apart from two things:

1. The camera unit looks thinner than the 12.9-inch version

This is entirely consistent with the rumor that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be much thicker than it is now. If this is the case, Apple could have taken advantage of this extra thickness to slightly sink the camera unit, so that there is less bulge.

2. There is no smart connector

Rarely am I sure of much, but I’m sure of it: that’s a mistake. Apple has worked so hard to make the magnificent magic keyboard fit the iPad Pro’s Smart Connector perfectly, which it’s unlikely to abandon it now. In addition, it is even more unlikely that there is an inconsistent design between two tablets that, on the other hand, would be very similar.

There have also been rumors about how Apple changed the connectors from Pro tablets to Thunderbolt instead of USB-C, but as they would look the same on mannequins like these, it’s impossible to know. So when can we expect these iPad models to appear?

Well, regular readers will know that I said I think the day of the iPad revelation will be next Tuesday, April 13th, Wednesday, April 14th, Tuesday, April 20th, or Wednesday, April 21st.

I’ll stick with that, except to add that I think we’re too close to April 13th for that to be right and now April 20th or 21st seems like favorites.
