Filtered Renders claims to showcase the design of third-generation AirPods

A new set of surrenders aims to showcase the design of the upcoming third-generation AirPods, which could be announced during a rumored Apple event later this month.

Representations were shared by Gizmochina, which claims to have received the surrenders of a “supplier”. The images depict irAirPods‌ with a shorter stem, similar to AirPods Pro, and a smaller cargo box. This information aligns with the reports in Bloomberg which states that the design of the new irAirPods‌ is inspired by the ‌AirPods Pro‌, although they will not have certain Pro features, such as active noise cancellation.

Yields should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the images were shared on the Twitter account @ Duanrui1205, which in the past has shared accurate information, possibly adding validity to them. The representations also match the supposed real-life images of the upcoming irAirPods‌, which show them with a smaller stem and replaceable ear tips.

Just this week, Chinese leaker “Kang” reported that Apple plans to hold its long-awaited spring event on March 23rd. This event is expected to feature AirTags, new iPad models, and possibly the updated third-generation thirdAirPods‌. Apple is also working on second-generation AirPods Pro, which are rumored to be more compact by removing the stem and adopting a headset design similar to the Galaxy and Google Buds.
