Final Fantasy XVI will be an action-oriented experience, but Square Enix will not neglect the most focused fans in history. As part of an interview on Tokyo FM’s One Morning show, translated by Gematsu, producer Naoki Yoshida revealed a little more about what gamers can expect from the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive.
“Final Fantasy XVI is pretty action-oriented,” he said. “It’s a Final Fantasy with history and action. We want players to enjoy the story, so we’re preparing a mode for players who want to focus on the story. Since we have quite substantial support actions, of course, we are preparing something that is easy to handle and play easily. Don’t worry too much [if you’re not good at action games]”.
Yoshida also hinted that the story will be more mature this time: “I think there are certain difficulties you experience when you grow up, so I want to turn the main theme of this game into a theme that those who grew up playing in Final Fantasy and understand that reality can still enjoy, get something out of it and think about it ”.
