Costumes for the former, enhancements for the latter
Not every day we get two amiibo stories!
Although we will reach both, Monster Hunter Rise is definitely the leader here, as Capcom has just explained what the amiibo trio will do in their new version Monster Hunter video breakdown.
As a reminder, it will be shipped with Magnamalo (monster), Palamute (dog) and Palico (cat) amiibo, which will provide a different feature. The first unlocks a Magnamalo flavored armor for your hunter, the amiibo Palamute will give you a new Palamute cosmetic style in turn, and the second (you guessed it) combines with a Palico cosmetic. It should be noted that there is another easy element to lose on the site: “you can also play the daily lottery to win various useful items.” Typically, this is a type of linked amiibo functionality feature that dates back so long Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is possible that any amiibo works like a lottery luck.
Oh, and we also have more of an idea of what it is Super Mario 3D World: Fury by Bowser the functionality will entail, thanks to a new landing page of the website. Simply put, the lower section of amiibo (which includes Cat Mario and Cat Peach figures right now) says, “Use the adorable new amiibo figures of Cat Mario and Cat Peach to unlock power-ups.”
“Unlock power-ups.” I’m sure some of you who aren’t collectors will be relieved to know that it’s not essential. That said, the Cat duo has been readily available since pre-ordered, while the Monster Hunter the numbers are still tied to GameStop (and have since gone on sale online, but it’s also GameStop, so I doubt it).
