Steve Kerr will have some extra players to call the Warriors every night.
The Athletes’ Shams Sarania said on Saturday morning that the NBA’s competition team had unanimously approved the expansion of the active list to 13 to 15 players. All 30 teams are scheduled to play 72 games in a frantic dash match starting Dec. 22 and ending May 16, and players are at increased risk of injury following a brief training camp and early season.
Kerr noted some difficulties in finding places for some players in the Warriors rotation on Saturday, especially on the backcourt. Still, there are two more places than expected.
Which players will benefit the most? These five have a lot to gain from the extended active list.
