Florida Gators coach Dan Mullen said Kyle Pitts has been allowed to play the SEC championship game against Alabama.
On Friday night, in an interview with the SEC Network’s “SEC Now” program, Mullen said, “I guess there’s still 24 hours, it’s only Friday night. But he’s practiced this week.”
A source told ESPN on Saturday that Pitts “is fine.”
Pitts did not play last week against the LSU Tigers with an undisclosed injury. Mullen said all week that he hoped Pitts would be allowed to play.
Pitts has been a big tackle game this season, with 36 catches for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns as quarterback Kyle Trask’s favorite goal. Earlier in the season, Pitts lost two games after receiving a blow to the head in the Georgia game.
