Follow these steps to make iPhone 13 bookings a one-Friday process

If you plan to pre-order one of Apple’s new iPhone 13 models at 8:00 ET on Friday, Sept. 17, you may be interested to know that Apple says customers can pre-register their data to facilitate the purchase process. Now, before I say anything, I completely agree with the idea of pre-registration to prior reservation sounds ridiculous. But if you’re someone who wants to complete the order as quickly as possible to ensure an early shipping date during a period of global component shortages, it’s a useful trick to know. Please note that this process is only available until midnight on Thursday, Eastern Time.

It’s not the first time Apple has offered pre-registration. But previously, this route seems to have been reserved for customers of the iPhone update program, MacRumors reports, a 24-month payment plan that includes AppleCare Plus and offers a phone update every year. But now everyone can enter their details soon to buy a phone with much less hassle on launch day.

To pre-register, go to the Apple Store app or the Apple website to get started. Anyone in the upgrade plan will have their upgrade eligibility verified and credit lines approved. Other customers can choose their preferred iPhone model, record carrier status, enter payment information, and select accessories and / or an AppleCare Plus plan. Note that some users report seeing an “Your iPhone reservation has expired” error message, which MacRumors the notes look like a mistake.
