Former Clemson Tigers QB Trevor Lawrence pays apparent bet with Georgia Bulldogs team

Forgive Trevor Lawrence for trusting his former staff, the Clemson Tigers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars QB, and No. 1 in the 2021 NFL Draft, was at home Saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, to see No. 3 Clemson face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.

But with a new QB (DJ Uiagalelei), the Tigers ’offense was dominated by Georgia’s defense. Clemson held on just 180 yards and Uiagalelei was sacked seven times in the 10-3 loss.

Apparently, Lawrence made a bet with fellow Jaguars teammate and former Georgia receiver Terry Godwin. On Monday, dressed in all sorts of Georgia outfits, Lawrence paid the bet.

Lawrence and Godwin begin their season Sunday against the Houston Texans. Godwin could continue his streak of betting wins if he finds someone betting against Georgia, who faces UAB on Saturday.
