Four Cuban migrants seeking to reach the United States have been arrested in Honduras

Choluteca, Honduras.

Five Cuban migrants were detained by National Police officers on Friday in the town of Choluteca, Choluteca, after trying to cross the country on their way to the United States. A Honduran, alleged human trafficker who facilitated the movement of migrants to the United States, was arrested alongside citizens.}

The arrest was coordinated by the Transnational Criminal Investigation Unit (UTIC) of the DPI Police Investigation Directorate, with support from the Tactical Special Operations Group, Goet. The four Cuban citizens were sent to the National Migration Institute, in charge of the corresponding administrative procedure.

The detainee, of Honduran origin, is a 33-year-old farmer living in the L’Esperança colony in the southern municipality. The individual was also confiscated, in addition to the passenger car, Nissan brand, in which they were moving, cash.
