Four deaths from thrombosis associated with Covid vaccine in Italy

Italy.- Four people have died due to thrombosis associated with the AstraZeneca covid vaccine, authorities from the Italian Drug Agency (AIFA) have reported.

Italian authorities reported that a total of about 9 million covid vaccines have been applied in this first quarter of the year alone, of which there have been deaths from thrombosis.

So far health authorities have reported that there are 11 other ‘very rare’ cases where thrombosis occurred after receiving the covid vaccine, although these have not yet been confirmed as a ‘side effect’.

According to the latest report from the Italian health authorities, in just over 46,000 patients who received a covid vaccine, some types of discomfort were reported which, although not serious, should be considered as they could lead to some major complications .

The feasibility of continuing the application of AstraZeneca vaccines against covid is currently being studied in Italy; recently authorities in other countries such as Denmark have already completely banned the application of this vaccine; in others such as Spain its application is reserved only for people over 60 years.
