Bowerman provided a number of ways in which you can satisfy cravings without neglecting health at these holidays:

  • Eat snacks. Snacks can be used for a variety of purposes: a nutritious and balanced diet can help maintain energy between meals and control appetite at meal times, to eat less. However, stressful situations can often motivate us to reach for unnecessary or stressful refrigerators to escape the negative feelings we are experiencing. That’s why it’s important to bring refrigerators before meetings for the holidays, or even bring refrigerators with a high protein content, such as a salt-free nut roll or a protein bar. Hard, crunchy foods can also help relieve stress because they work the tense muscles of the jaw; Therefore, try a handful of almonds, soybeans or baby carrots.
  • Stay hydrated. Water is essential for the absorption of nutrients. Sufficient water should be drunk so that the body can properly digest food, deliver nutrients to the cells and eliminate unnecessary substances for the body. The immune system also depends on a well-hydrated body. It is also possible to hydrate with other liquids in addition to water.
  • Prioritization of proteins and vegetables. At parties many of the dishes are high in calories and few nutrients and vitamins the body needs. One way to avoid unhealthy meals is to incorporate more protein and vegetables into your dishes and reduce carbs and fats. Protein-rich foods such as meat, chicken, eggs and legumes generate satiety, as well as providing B vitamins, vitamin E, iron, zinc and magnesium.
  • Selectivity with sweets. Sweets and treats are inevitable at parties, but it’s important to choose well. Unfortunately, many sweets can have a high caloric cost that is counterproductive to maintaining a healthy weight. It is not necessary to eliminate them completely, but one should try to put a limitation on the reduced portions of those special sweets that only arrive during the holidays.

According to the nutrition expert, all of these tips will pass on to the feeling of well-being during the holidays.
