Gabby Petito missing: fiancé’s lawyer says search is underway in Grand Teton after his return to Florida

A missing New York woman is being sought in Wyoming, while her fiancé, with whom she was traveling around the country, returns to Florida at her parents’ home.

Gabby Petito, 22, was last seen in late August in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, according to police, and was reported missing over the weekend after her parents did not know. nothing of it in a week.

“On behalf of the Laundrie family, we hope that Miss Petito’s search will be successful and that Miss Petito will be reunited with her family,” Steven Bertolino, Petito’s fiancé’s lawyer, Brian, said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Laundrie.

Petito and Laundrie were crossing the United States in a white Ford Transit van, which police have recovered as part of their investigation into his disappearance.

Laundrie has not been charged with a felony, but police in North Port, Florida, told the New York Post that his parents refused to make him available to speak with investigators.

“On the advice of a lawyer, the Laundrie family stays in the background at this juncture and will have no further comment,” Bertolino said.

Petito, of Blue Point, New York, had been living in Florida with Laundrie. Police described the missing woman as white and about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes and several tattoos, including one on his finger and the other on his forearm that says “let it be.”
