The coordinator of the Health Cabinet, Raquel Peña, together with the authorities of the sector will offer statements to the country on the evolution of the covid-19 pandemic.
The information was known by Milagros Germán, spokeswoman for the Presidency, indicated that the information will be offered this Tuesday at 10:00 am.
“Tomorrow at 10.00 am Vice President Raquel Peña, as coordinator of the Health Office with industry officials, convenes a meeting with the press to offer statements on the evolution of the covid pandemic19,” wrote Germán in his account from Twitter.
In recent weeks, the Dominican Republic has seen an increase in those affected by the pandemic.
This Monday, according to bulletin 270, the Ministry of Public Health reported 492 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths, which puts the daily positivity at 17.42%.
So far 4,711 have not been able to overcome the disease.
There are currently 863 patients hospitalized for 31% occupancy; 234 critically ill patients in Intensive Care Units for 50% of the occupied legs and 126 have assisted ventilation 33%.
This report highlights that there are 15,188 children under the age of 20 who have tested positive for Covid-19; 294 pregnant women and 572 health workers.
The total number of infections in the country is 155,184 and the number of deaths is 2,364.
Samples processed during the pandemic total 793,563; the cases discarded 638,379 and those recovered 121,007.
The Minister of Public Health Plutarco Arias, said in recent days that for the Christmas season there will be a flexibility of this measure, in order to allow greater mobility to citizens, with a formal announcement by President Luis Abinader on December 23, a day before Christmas Eve.
The curfew that laughs in the country, is Monday to Friday from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am and on weekends and holidays from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am.
