Manchester City will not be able to count on two key players on Boxing Day because they tested positive for covid, these are Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker
Manchester City players Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker have tested positive in the covid, as confirmed by the English club.
Two other club employees also tested positive in the Premier League on a weekly basis.
According to City, the four will remain in isolation following the protocol of the Premier and the British Government.
“Everyone at the club wishes the best to our teammates as well as a speedy recovery over the Christmas period before they can get back to work, train and play,” City added in a statement.
The Premier currently conducts a weekly test on team players and workers, although it plans to increase it to two per week, as it did during the first months after the pandemic, in those areas located at level 4 of contagion. Manchester is currently at level 3 and has no plans to upgrade.
