Well, I guess we’ll wait until February 27th
We’re about to get the “verse-remake” to say it with mainline Pokémon generations: if this rumored project comes to fruition (probably someday, the real question is whether or not it will be this year).
We have traveled Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby, i Sapphire again, but according to a Centro report Pokémon, Diamond i By could arrive as soon as 2021 in Switch. If this happens, the next redone on the board would be the Black i White games (1 + 2), and at this point we are almost entering the modern era X & I.
But back to Diamond i By for a second. Centro Pokemon claims that “according to sources close to the company,” the pair of remakes will be announced on February 27 next month, which also serves as “Pokemon Day” and the 25th anniversary of the series. According to the report, the remakes will arrive this year.
Hey, that doesn’t sound too far-fetched, but anyone could have made that prediction at any point in the past Omega Ruby i Alpha Sapphire redone in 2014 and possibly they were right. We know that big announcements will arrive this year, so it’s time to grab this salt shaker and wait.
