Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbaek joins Jason Momoa in Aquaman 2 in an unknown role
Jason Momoa gets a Game of Thrones star to join him in Aquaman 2, with the addition of Pilou Asbaek.
The 39-year-old Danish actor, who played the nefarious Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, is in talks to join the Warner Bros. superhero sequel via Deadline.
No details were given about the plot of the sequel, nor any details about who might be playing Asbaek.

The original Aquaman was followed by Arthur Curry (Momoa), born to a human father (Temuera Morrison) and Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.
The story follows Curry as he goes on a quest to stop a war between the worlds of land and sea.
The original film also featured Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Manta.

Aquaman was a huge hit for the DCEU at the box office, with $ 335 million nationally, second in the DCEU for $ 412.5 million from Wonder Woman.
It was also the only DCEU film to gross $ 1 billion worldwide and earn $ 813.4 million from the international territories for $ 1.14 billion worldwide.
It is not yet known if other Aquaman stars will return alongside Momoa as the main character.

Peter Safran is producing the superhero sequel, with production scheduled to begin this summer, although no further details were given.
Warner Bros. has also set a release date of December 16, 2022 for Aquaman 2, which will face another upcoming sequel, Avatar 2.

Asbaek first appeared in American films such as The Whistleblower and Lucy before her prominent role as Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones.
He also played Pontius Pilate in the 2016 Ben-Hur on the big screen, along with the roles of Ghost in the Shell, Woodshock and Overlord.
He recently starred in Outside the Wire and will be seen on Samaritan, Project X-Traction and ISS
