GameStop and AMC jump into premarket trading after GameStop surpasses $ 17 billion in market capitalization; AMC gains on the tap

it jumped 11% in premarket trading on Wednesday, a day after stocks closed at their highest point since late January and pushed their market capitalization above $ 17 billion. After dropping about 90% from the highs of the meme buying frenzy in January, GameStop shares have soared more than 108% in the last five trading sessions, including Tuesday’s 27% gain. Shares closed Tuesday’s regular session at $ 246.90, off a record close of $ 347.51 on Jan. 27. Pre-market profits involve a capitalization of $ 19 billion.
