In this sense, he has indicated that he is “in full physical, emotional and intellectual condition to continue working for two more years in the Oncology Service” and thus remain available to the citizens of Burgos as he has been doing for almost 40 years he began to practice medicine.
In this sense, he directly accuses the Minister of Health, Verónica Casado, the regional manager, Manuel Mitadiel and the manager of the University Hospital, José María Rom of being the culprits of this situation to deny the extension of his working life, under a report prepared by the Management of Specialized Care of Burgos which states that it does not meet the requirements for an extension and establishes a compulsory retirement.
This report means that he is a dispensable person, that he does not use relevant health techniques and that he does not have research projects.

Garcia Girón has advanced that he will “keep fighting until the end and will not give up.” He has filed an appeal for reversal which has a period of one month to be resolved and if it is negative, he will go to court to exhaust all legal remedies available in order to allow him to continue practicing medicine and thus defend their rights.
Throughout this process, Dr. García Girón has received the support of many sectors of Burgos society, as well as the medical union and the College of Physicians who consider it an injustice to be denied the extension of his active life already that they “consider it an attack on a brilliant career.”
