The Ministry of Economy announced on Friday a further increase in the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in its various presentations.
Maximum retail prices will be: $ 17.27 a 35-pound cylinder; $ 12.39 for £ 25; $ 9.99 will cost £ 20 and $ 5.13 will cost £ 10.
The sum of the grant awarded by the Government will be kept at $ 5.00, so that the beneficiaries will pay $ 7.39 for a £ 25 cylinder. Same as in January it cost $ 5.92
Gas increased by 33% in one year
Between February 2020 and February 2021, Liquefied Petroleum Gas increased by between 32.3% and 33.7%.
The maximum price of the £ 35 non-subsidized cylinder cost $ 12.91 in February 2020. It increased to $ 17.27, an increase of 33.7%.
