Gayle King’s daughter Kirby Bumpus knots in a “perfect” wedding at Oprah Winfrey’s Montecito Estate
Her daughter Kirby Bumpus tied the knot in December.
But it was only Monday that Gayle King announced the news during CBS This Morning and in an interview published in Oprah Winfrey magazine.
And it was King’s BFF Oprah who hosted the weddings that were reduced due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Kirby, 32, married fiancée Virgil Miller on her godmother Oprah’s multimillion-dollar estate in Montecito, on the outskirts of Santa Barbara, California.
The couple got engaged in February 2019.
“Kirby is really so happy, and nothing happens when your kids are happy,” King, 66, told Oprah magazine.

The ceremony was officiated by Kirby’s brother, Will Bumpus, and was attended by Oprah’s partner, Steadman Graham, and a professional photographer who took photographs of the occasion.
King shares Kirby and Will with her ex-husband William Bumpus whom she divorced in 1993
“No one knows Kirby the same way his brother does, so for him he did the ceremony,” King explained.
“It wasn’t the wedding we had planned, but it was absolutely perfect,” he noted.

Family: Kirby, 32, married Virgil Miller, whom he married in February 2019. The couple appears with King and Kirby’s brother, Will, who officiated at the ceremony.

Their children: Kirby and Will are children of King with the ex- husband William Bumpus, of that separated of 1993
Photographs for the ceremony were taken by photographer Joe Pugliese, who was at Oprah’s mansion for a last-minute cancellation shoot, but was found playing wedding photographer. .
“Normally, Joe doesn’t do weddings … so we were lucky and had a professional photographer who followed the whole pandemic protocol. I’m very happy to have those memories, because the photos are awesome,” he told the magazine.
She shared some of the happy day photos on her Instagram.
