Stop illegal disclosures
Yesterday was a day of highs and lows for developer miHiYo. The day started very positively with the release of the highly anticipated version 1.4 of its gacha money printing title Genshin impact, but this release was also followed by the news that a piece of content of his Next a major update had already appeared and had been leaked on the information highway.
Because these things are not usually done, the information was supposedly written down by smart players through data analytics, before quickly making its way through the Internet through social media. The information supposedly authenticates the arrival of two new characters, as well as various other information. miHiYo has issued an official statement asking players not to spread the impromptu news.
“We recently discovered the leaking of content leaked from version 1.5. This behavior not only alters our plans to develop and promote the new version, but also causes some travelers to have misconceptions about the content of the new version.” said the developer on Twitter. “Here we ask for the support and help of all travelers to withstand leaks and maintain a fair gaming environment. We will also increase our efforts to address these illegal disclosures.”
Genshin impactThe version 1.4 update, now live on all platforms, includes the new character Sister Rosaria, as well as a fun spring event – The Windblume Festival – and new missions, equipment, recipes, login bonuses, rewards and secondary functions. You can read it all in the official patch notes.
Also, I like the term “illegal disclosures” and will use it more in conversations.
