It’s not uncommon for celebrities to give their children unique and sometimes weird names with a not-so-obvious meaning.
But it turns out that George Clooney had none of this when he and his wife Amal Alamuddin welcomed their twins into the world three and a half years ago.
The foundation of the acclaimed actor was that life under the glare of his fame would be problematic enough for his children without having weird names to boot.

Deceiving the trend: George Clooney revealed that he refused to give his weird twins celebrity names, in an interview with AARP; appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live in December 2020
After being known as the perpetual bachelor during the early years of his career, Clooney turned that single, female man upside down when she married Alamuddin in September 2014.
He then won the title of family man when the couple became the father of twins (a boy and a girl) in June 2017.
When deciding how to name his children, the two-time Oscar winner insisted they were not following the unusual name trend; so they decided for Alexander and Ella.
“I didn’t want weird names for our kids. They’ll have enough trouble already. It’s hard to be the son of someone famous and successful,” the star of The Descendants explained in an interview with AARP.

His foundation: The acclaimed actor and director said his children would have enough trouble under the glare of his fame to give them unusual names.
Clooney’s confession comes after he spent nine months in quarantine, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, at his home in Los Angeles.
Like many people during the closing, the actor turned a lot of attention to his children and began to devote time to the things he had postponed.
One of his lesser known talents happens to be sewing, which has been used since the coronavirus was considered a pandemic in mid-March 2020.
“I do a lot of things sewing kids’ clothes, ”Clooney said in the February / March issue of the magazine. And my wife’s dress that broke a couple of times. I was single for a long time and I didn’t have money, and you have to learn how to fix things ”.
He also revealed that he fixed his wife’s torn dress after years of learning how to make repairs himself as a longtime bachelor.

Jack of All Trades: George Clooney talked about sewing his children’s clothes and exchanging letters with his wife Amal Alamuddin during the AARP interview
‘If we were on an island and you had to choose someone to help you survive, I would choose myself. Ask all my friends and they would take me too. I can make a splash of water with that and a pitcher with that. “
The actor has become useful throughout the house as the family hid behind closed doors and decided to stain the furniture and the interiors and exteriors of their home.
“He was coming back abruptly and he had buckets of stains and he was saying to me,‘ Well, what more can I do? “It made me feel better. And I put chicken wire around the dog yard,” he said.
The pandemic has also not stopped his passion for writing letters.

Clooney has a recognition for the letters and has some of them Walter Cronkite, Paul Newman and Gregory Peck framed and hung in his home.
The actor and his wife will also exchange letters every few months, a tradition that has been maintained despite the health crisis.
“Even closed, I’ll write a letter and slide it to her desk, or she’ll write a letter and leave it under the pillow,” he said of his romantic gestures to help maintain the spontaneous relationship.

With Clooney fast approaching his 60s, the Kentucky native confessed he had turned down offers to appear on the cover of AARP for about ten years.
However, he contemplated doing so as a joke when he celebrated his 50th birthday.
“I wanted to make it a little fun, that he would be the sexiest man still alive. I would have taken some funny photo, like with a walker,” Clooney said in the interview.
Most recently, Clooney directed and starred in the science fiction film The Midnight Sky, which began a limited film release in December 2020, before being released on Netflix.
