Rejoice, at least partially vaccinated, donut lovers, because Krispy Kreme doubles free donut program, giving away two donuts to anyone who has had at least one vaccine against COVID-19 from August 30 to September 5.

True, the “Show Your Heart” promotion will include a double serving of fritters (an original with glass and an original with glass) and hopefully encourage the unvaccinated to get at least one shot, if not both:

“Show Your Heart” is the latest offering from Krispy Kreme supporting the country’s effort to overcome the pandemic. Krispy Kreme in March it became the first national brand to support people who protected themselves and others through vaccination, offering an original free glass thread (anytime, any day) to guests showing a COVID-19 vaccination card valid anywhere Krispy Kreme store in the US until 2021.

Bye now, Krispy Kreme has donated more than 2.5 million original glass donuts through the initiative. In 2020, Krispy Kreme donated more than 30 million free donuts to health workers, teachers, senior graduates and others.

“We all hoped that we would be close to the end of this pandemic. They were not. So consider getting vaccinated if you haven’t already. And then enjoy and share two amazing fritters with our gratitude, ”said Dave Skena, director of marketing.

All you have to do is show your vaccination card and you will be given two whole glazed donuts (the best type of donut). Come back the next day with your card and you will receive two more donuts! Repeat daily between August 30 and September 5, and you can enjoy a total of 14 free donuts. (Donuts don’t dry completely after September 5th; you can still get a free donut every day by showing your vaccine card until the end of the year).

I’m not sure if free donuts are enough to convince resistant anti-vaxxers, but if nothing else, it’s a good reward for those who did our civic duty and got the punch. Eating two donuts every day for a week may not be the healthiest habit, but keep in mind that Krispy Kreme presents it as a option, is not a warrant, and refrain from obstructing the comments section with sad, tired, and boring concerns. Don’t look at a gift donut in the hole, that’s what I say.

(And don’t forget to tip. Donuts may be free, but the workers who make them still deserve some gratification and gratitude, especially during a pandemic).
