Gómez Mazara requests audits from José Ramón Peralta, Francisco Javier and Miguel Vargas

The leader of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Guido Gómez Mazara, filed a letter before the Chamber of Accounts last Sunday requesting the supervisory body to carry out audits on the management of José Ramón Peralta, Miguel Vargas Maldonado and Francisco Javier García in order to “make transparent the proper use of public funds.”

Gómez Mazara announced on Monday that he had made the request “Hopefully, it’s a Chamber of Accounts and not a Chamber of Accounts”.

In the letter, addressed to the newly appointed President of the Chamber of Accounts, Janel Andrés Ramírez, and other members of the institution, the political leader called for investigations into the proceedings of the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency (2012-2020), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016-2020) and the Ministry of Tourism (2008-2020).

“I must emphasize the priority character of the performance in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to the multiple questions in the management 2016-2020. In this order we intend to audit the four years of Mr. Miguel Vargas Maldonado before the Chancellery of country “, reads the document.

Gómez Mazara also states in the letter that “they make extensive use of the desire that the management headed by the citizen Francisco Javier García (2008-2020) in the Ministry of Tourism be audited (…) due to the fact that, with regard to tourist promotion abroad, there is a very high level of concern about the sums and the dubious transparency in their execution”.

The post has garnered more than 400 “likes” and dozens of “shares” and comments from users.

“The country has its eyes set on you and the challenge of returning credibility to a constitutional body that, like the Chamber of Accounts, is worthy of better luck,” the letter concludes.

I have just deposited before the Chamber of Accounts, the performance of audits under the management of José Ramón Peralta, Miguel Vargas and Francisco Javier García. Hopefully, it will be a Chamber of “Accounts and not Stories.” pic.twitter.com/2Zgt2bCYac
