Google Nexus Twitter account rises from death to advertise on Pixel 6 on iPhone Day

Google’s current social media strategy for its hardware division revolves primarily around the @madebygoogle manager. Someone should tell the person who just tweeted from the @googlenexus account.

At 11:20 a.m. PDT today, the account, which represented Android hardware efforts aimed at Google developers until 2016, posted this message on their Twitter channel (via 9to5Google).

The @googlenexus account became private for a short period of time or even intermittently since the tweet was posted before the message log was publicly viewed again. Interestingly, the tweet has not been deleted. It was the first publication since October 16, 2017.

With Apple’s fall hardware launch event (the iPhone 13 series on the line) finished and dusted off, Google may have considered it appropriate to counterprogram the competition by promoting the Pixel 6 phones that s ‘announce. In fact, the Google Store site was also updated this morning with a new homepage.

Meanwhile, the @madebygoogle Twitter account he has yet to see any relevant reaction or his Facebook and Instagram pages.

I guess this is marketing.
