Say goodbye to Home Max, Google’s original great smart speaker is to deliver hi-fi audio. The company has shared with Engadget that the device is no longer manufactured and has been sold in the last few units in the Google Store. Existing users will see support for the future, and there are no plans to end support for this or the original Google Home.
Home Max was introduced in 2017 for 9,399, offering dual 4.5-inch high-frock woofers and two custom tweeters. Unlike previous Google Home products, the company’s latest speakers such as Nest Audio are designed to deliver high quality audio even on small bodies. Nest Audio features a 75mm woofer and a 19mm tweeter, and comes with software designed to deliver the best sound with those components.
