From web search and first aid voice commands on Android there are some ways to check the weather through Google. As of this evening, Google weather has dropped across many sites worldwide.
Update: Weather capabilities return to normal on Google devices as of Sunday evening.
On Android, the Google app, the pixel launcher and the experience found in the widget at a glance “could not display weather information [city, country]Error message containing frog symbol contraction. After checking the five cities, only one gives the correct today, tomorrow and 10 day data. The issue started on Sunday afternoon (P.D.).
In the meantime, if you see “Weather [city]”In desktop search, some places give an eight-day forecast with status and high / low temperatures. Current conditions – as well as temperature, rainfall and wind charts – are missing.
Asking an assistant on mobile also gives basic results. This drops to a five-day forecast that uses older icons. On NestHubs and Smart Displays, when you ask about the affected site, Google will answer “Here are some results from the web”.
Meanwhile, there are reports that users are getting Google usage notifications on Android at -18 degrees regardless of city.
Some places give correct results, but most make mistakes or show only basic information. Google provides its data from the weather channel.
