Google’s YouTube, Gmail is recovering after a global crash

(Reuters) – Google services, including YouTube, Gmail and Google Drive, were restored to most users on Monday following a global crash that affected thousands.

He said Google’s website, which records malfunctions, takes almost an hour to recover most of the affected services.

The company has some of the most widely used services in the world. YouTube records more than 2 billion logged in users each month, and people watch over a billion hours of video on its platform.

“We’re running again!” Said the video site in a tweet. It had previously tweeted that many users were having trouble accessing YouTube.

More than 12,000 YouTube users have been affected in various parts of the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom and India, according to Down Detector, a crash monitoring website.

Crashing in selected Google apps is not uncommon, but Monday’s crash affected all popular services, including Google Hangouts, Google Chats and Google Meeting, products that were widely used by people during the COVID-19 epidemic.
