One million vaccines from China will enter national territory tomorrow, President Nayib Bukele has reported.
According to the president, the vaccines are part of a lot acquired by the Government from the company Sinovac, considered one of the largest vaccine development laboratories in the world.

The time of entry of the vaccines is not yet confirmed, however, the Ministry of Health and the Press Secretariat of the Presidency have summoned the media to be present at 5:00 am at the International Airport of El Salvador.
The event to receive the vaccines will be attended by Health Minister Francisco Alabi, officials from the enlarged cabinet and the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the country, Ou Jianhong.
Hours earlier, Bukele had announced that the vaccination process for teachers in the public and private system would begin on Tuesday, March 30, so that the new batch could be used to administer doses to teachers before the start. of classes.

Details on the cost or procurement procedures for this lot with the company Sinovac are unknown, due to the fact that the government put under reservation, and for a period of between three and five years, all the information regarding the national vaccination plan and the processes for acquiring them.
The Health portfolio justified the action in letter D of article 19 of the Law on Access to Public Information, which indicates that it is confidential information “that clearly endangers life, safety or health of any person “.

This batch, from China, becomes the largest in terms of the amount of doses it will carry.
With this new batch that will arrive in the country tomorrow, El Salvador would reach the figure of more than 1 million 100 thousand doses of vaccines received.
