Governor Sisolak issues a new directive related to live entertainment and distance requirements

CARSON CITY (KTNV) – In response to a request from Gov. Steve Sisolak to conduct a reassessment of existing 25-foot distance requirements between performers and audience members and other measures to mitigate live entertainment and musical performances , the state epidemiologist and public health advisers presented new recommendations.

Recommendations include a minimum separation of at least 6 feet for all shows and live performances only if the artists and performers wear a face mask or cap at all times during the performance, or a minimum separation of at least 12 feet for all shows and live shows when artists and performers have unmasked or temporarily and intermittently removed their masks or face covers during performances. In addition to existing mitigation measures for shows and live performances, public health advisers also strongly urge artists to participate in regular COVID-19 testing.
